The À¶Ý®ÊÓƵC-Wolf Trap program trains a roster of teaching artists to support early childhood educators in strengthening the school readiness of young learners by integrating arts-based strategies aligned with literacy, math, and social-emotional learning (SEL) into the early childhood curriculum.The Arts-Based Collaborative at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (ABC at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵC) is an affiliate of the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts. Our À¶Ý®ÊÓƵC-Wolf Trap program supports early learning needs in various settings, including increasing access to arts-based learning in rural communities. À¶Ý®ÊÓƵC-Wolf Trap aims to serve 17 counties across the tri-state Chattanooga region, which includes 10 counties located in the Southeast Tennessee Development District (SETDD). Current counties participating in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵC-Wolf Trap classroom residencies include Hamilton, Polk, Bledsoe, and McMinn. Marion County participated in 2019, and we hope to work with them again during the 2022-2023 academic year as we aim to expand into Grundy, Sequatchie, Rhea, and Meigs county. Including Monroe County in our service area is also being explored.
